RECOMMENDED TIME
March-April
The best time to visit Lucchesia, an historical area of Tuscany, is when camellias are blossoming, between March and April when every year a town called Pieve e Sant’Andrea di Compito hosts an exhibition called Mostra Antiche Camelie della Lucchesia. The Borgo delle Camelie is a small paradise where you can marvel at camellias of all colours, ranging from red to soft pink, from purple to pearl white.
