A tour designed to discover UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Padua as well as the Brenta River and Venice.
Itinerary
First day: Padua
Arrival in Padua and meeting with the guide. We are going to stroll through Prato della Valle (one of Europe’s biggest squares) and visit the city’s first Unesco World Heritage Site, the Botanic Garden. This is followed by a visit inside the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua followed up by a visit to St. George Orathory (Oratorio di San Giorgio in Italian). We then go to the squares where some time is allotted for lunch. Early in the afternoon we are going to visit Scrovegni Chapel (Cappella degli Scrovegni in Italian). This is followed by a visit to the Church of the Eremitani (Chiesa degli Eremitani in Italian). Relocation and check-in in a 3 or 4-star hotel either located in Padua or in the immediate vicinity. Dinner at the restaurant. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Second day: Padua
After breakfast, we are going to visit Palazzo della Ragione (Piazza delle Erbe), Padua Baptistery (Piazza Duomo) and the Cappella della Reggia Carrarese. We are going to take a coffee break at the Pedrocchi Café (Caffè Pedrocchi in Italian), a café founded in the 18th century and one of the city’s landmarks. Lunch (not included in the offer). In the afternoon we are going to visit San Michele Oratory (Oratorio di San Michele in Italian). The rest fo the afternoon is at your disposal. Relocation to the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Third day: Padova – Cruise on the Brenta River – Venice
We are going to have breakfast and check-out from the hotel. We are going to board the cruise in Padua, in Porta Portello specifically and begin our navigation towards Venice. We are going to visit Villa Pisani in Stra, a late-Baroque rural palace located along the Brenta River. We are going to continue our cruise along the Brenta River, and while cruising we are going to see various villas along the river. Then we are going to have a fish-based lunch at the restaurant. We are going to continue our cruise until we get to Venice with arrival in St. Mark’s square. We are going to relocate to the hotel, check-in. Dinner (not included in the offer) and overnight stay in the hotel.
Fourth day: Venice
After breakfast we are going to have a guided tour of some of the city’s most famous landmarks: St. Mark’s Basilica and the Piazza bearing the same name, St Mark’s Campanile, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs. Free time will be allotted for lunch in a bacaro, a typical Venetian bar. In the afternoon we are going to see other famous sites in the city such as the Rialto Bridge, the Grand Canal, and some of the city’s well-known churches including the Chiesa dei Frari. Then we are going up on a rooftop terrace called the Fondaco dei Tedeschi. We are going back to the hotel in the evening, have dinner and stay overnight.
Fifth day: Venice – cruise to the islands near Venice
After breakfast, we are going to have a private cruise and start navigating in the Venetian lagoon. First, we are going to get to San Servolo island where we are going to visit the park. Then we are going to reach another island called San Lazzaro degli Armeni. At the end of the visit we are going to leave for the island of Torcello and have a fish-based lunch. After lunch we are going to leave for the island of Burano. Then, we are going to visit the island of San Francesco del Deserto. Then, we are going back to Venice. Dinner (not included in the tour) and overnight stay in the hotel.
Sixth day: Venice
After breakfast, we are going to have a guided tour to the Gallerie dell’Accademia. At the end of the tour, we are going to relocate to Cannaregio where we are going to visit the Venetian ghetto, the area of Venice in which Jews were forced to live by the government of the Venetian Republic. . Lunch and end of services. Possible additions or integrations may be added to the main program based on the client’s preferences

Half-day tour which will lead you to discover one major innovation introduced by Carlo Goldoni, the theatre of the eighteenth-century.
