In Padua, a city rich in art, history and spirituality. A tour dedicated to discovering UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Padua such as the Botanic Garden and the Serial World Heritage Site, recognised in 2021, comprising Scrovegni Chapel (Cappella degli Scrovegni in Italian) and 14th century frescoes preserved in some of the city’s buildings and monumental complexes.

ItinerarY

First day: Paduva

Arrival in Padua and meeting with the guide. We are going to stroll through Prato della Valle (one of Europe’s biggest squares) and visit the city’s first Unesco World Heritage Site, the Botanic Garden. This is followed by a visit inside the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua followed up by a visit to St. George Orathory (Oratorio di San Giorgio in Italian). We then go to the squares where some time is allotted for lunch. Early in the afternoon we are going to visit Scrovegni Chapel. This is followed by a visit to the Church of the Eremitani (Chiesa degli Eremitani in Italian). Relocation and check-in in a 3 or 4-star hotel either located in Padua or in the immediate vicinity. Dinner at the restaurant. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Second day : Padua

After breakfast, we are going to visit Palazzo della Ragione (Piazza delle Erbe), Padua Baptistery (Piazza Duomo) and the Cappella della Reggia Carrarese. We are going to take a coffee break at the Pedrocchi Café (Caffè Pedrocchi in Italian), a café founded in the 18th century and one of the city’s landmarks. Once the visits are over, free time will be given for lunch and for individual tours in the afternoon. Relocation to the hotel. Dinner at the restaurant. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Third day: Padua

After breakfast we are going to visit the Oratory of San Michele (Oratorio di San Michele in Italian), followed by a visit to the the Diocesan museum of Padua. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon we are going to give you a guided tour to the Bo Palace (Palazzo del Bo in Italian), which has been the historical seat of the University of Padua since 1493. At the end of the visit end of our services.

ADDITIONAL TOURS

Musical itinerary

A musical itinerary may be added to the most conventional tours in Padova. The goal is to discover the places linked to both music and to two important characters: Bartolomeo Cristofori, Paduan who invented the piano, and Giuseppe Tartini, great musician from Pirano, a town now part of Slovenia, who tied his business to the city of Padua for fifty years, as the head of the orchestra for the Basilica of Saint Anthony.
