This is a tour designed to discover the Venetian islands. We are going to visit the most well-known islands: Torcello, Murano and Burano as well as other minor and uncrowded islands, characterised by evocative atmospheres and historical Venetian traditions.

ItinerarY

First day: Venice

Arrival in Venice and meeting with the guide. We are going to have a guided tour of some of the city’s most famous landmarks: St. Mark’s Basilica and the Piazza bearing the same name, St Mark’s Campanile, the Doge’s Palace, the Bridge of Sighs. Free time will be allotted for lunch in a bacaro, a typical Venetian bar. In the afternoon we are going to see other famous sites in the city such as Rialto Bridge, the Grand Canal, and some of the city’s well-known churches including Chiesa dei Frari. Then we are going up on a rooftop terrace called Fondaco dei Tedeschi. We are going back to the hotel in the evening, have dinner and stay overnight.

Second day: Venice – cruise around the islands of Murano and Burano

After breakfast, we are going to board a private vessel and start cruising in the Venetian lagoon. We are going to get to the island of Murano and visit a kiln. Then we are going to visit the island of Burano, characterised by colourful houses. Lunch (not included in the offer). After lunch, we are going back to Venice and in the afternoon you can have individual tours. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Third day: Venice cruise around the islands of San Servolo, San Lazzaro degli Armeni, Torcello, San Francesco del Deserto

After breakfast, we are going to board a private vessel and start cruising in the Venetian lagoon. We are going to get to San Servolo island and visit the park. Then we are going to reach and viasit the island of San Lazzaro degli Armeni. At the end of the visit we are going to leave for Torcello and have a fish-based lunch. After lunch we are going to visit the island of San Francesco del Deserto. Then, we are going back to Venice. Dinner (not included in the offer) and overnight stay at the hotel.

Fourth day: Venice

After breakfast, we are going to have a guided tour to the Gallerie dell’Accademia. At the end of the tour, we are going to relocate to Cannaregio where we are going to visit the Venetian ghetto, the area of Venice in which Jews were forced to live by the government of the Venetian Republic. As we walk along the Cannaregio canal, we are going to stop by some famous “bacari”, typical Venetian bars, to enjoy local food and beverages. End of services. Possible additions or integrations may be added to the main program based on the client’s preferences.

Venice culinary tour

A tour enabling you to discover the origins and the history of Venetian gastronomy through banquets, hotels, flebag motels, furatole (typical Venetian inn), wine shops, and most of all old inns still in existence.
